Chrome only: Google recently added on-demand script blocking to its browser’s capabilities, and NotScript is the extension that puts that blocking on your hands. In other words, it’s an early Chrome equivalent of NoScript for Firefox.

NotScript remains somewhat rough around the perimeters, obviously. To take advantage of it securely, you’ll ought to edit a password file deep on your system and provide a key a minimum of 20 characters in length, a good way to prevent your whitelist from leaking. Whenever you’re done there, you could add sites to the NotScript whitelist to allow them to do their thing. Otherwise, NotScript blocks click trackers, ad delivery services, and other scripts from running on sites you don’t know that well. That you may click NotScript’s address bar icon to temporarily enable individual scripts, or the whole scripts on a website temporarily.
